ABC's Boston Affiliate Hits Aereo With Copyright Suit

Law360, New York (July 10, 2013, 2:45 PM EDT) -- Boston's local ABC affiliate sued streaming TV service Aereo Inc. for copyright infringement Tuesday in Massachusetts federal court, opening up a second front in the company's ongoing battle with TV networks.

As in the suit by the major networks in New York federal court, Boston's WCVB-TV, which is owned by Hearst Corp., claims that Aereo has no right to make the channel's copyrighted programming available online to its paying customers.
