Contractor's Worker Got Kickbacks For Referrals, Feds Say

Law360, New York (July 11, 2013, 4:04 PM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors charged two men Wednesday with paying kickbacks in exchange for subcontracting work from U.S. Navy and commercial contracts at an oil field services company and shipyard repair facility.

A federal grand jury in Virginia indicted William Wellington Hooper Jr., 46, and Harry Siegfried Rahn Jr., 52, on charges of conspiracy, providing and accepting kickbacks relating to government contracts, wire fraud and false statements, according to Neil H. MacBride, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
