FTC Urged To Block $1.4B Funeral Co. Merger

Law360, New York (July 11, 2013, 6:58 PM EDT) -- A consumer group urged the Federal Trade Commission on Thursday to block Texas-based funeral home operator Service Corp. International's $1.4 billion bid for rival Stewart Enterprises Inc., warning that the deal would lead to higher prices for funeral services.
