Cisco Didn't Breach Software Contract With AMC, Judge Rules

Law360, Los Angeles (July 12, 2013, 4:55 PM EDT) -- Cisco Systems Inc. scored a victory Thursday in its breach of contract dispute with AMC Technology LLC when a California federal judge ruled that a software connector AMC was supposedly obligated to develop for Cisco wasn't actually in the companies' development and licensing agreement.

AMC claimed that the connector was included in drafts of the agreement, under which it was obligated to develop products according to specifications provided by Cisco, and that the final version of the deal also had references to the product.
