Former SEC Special Counsel Leaps To Orrick's SF Office

Law360, New York (July 15, 2013, 4:12 PM EDT) -- Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP has snagged a former Morrison & Foerster LLP partner and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission special counsel, adding considerable commercial experience to its San Francisco office, the firm said Monday.

Andrew Thorpe joined Orrick on Monday as a partner in the firm's capital group, becoming part of a team of 300 attorneys and focusing on securities regulation, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters, according to the firm.
