J&J, Endo Pharma Units Face More Pelvic Mesh Claims

Law360, Dallas (July 15, 2013, 9:12 PM EDT) -- Two groups of women sued units of Johnson & Johnson and Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Texas court Friday, both with multimillion-dollar damages claims for injuries and mental anguish allegedly caused by pelvic mesh products the companies manufacture and market.

A day after a group of 10 women sued J&J, along with its Ethicon Inc. and Cook Group Inc. units, for pelvic mesh problems, another 14 women led by Barbara Starek targeted J&J’s Mentor Worldwide LLC unit, saying its pelvic implants were unsafe and caused permanent injuries....
