Calif. Judge Deals Blow To Suction Dredge Mining Operations

Law360, New York (July 17, 2013, 7:52 PM EDT) -- A California state judge on Monday lifted a restraining order handed down earlier this month that had prevented fish and wildlife regulators from enforcing a statewide ban on suction dredge mining operations in one part of the state.

San Bernardino Superior Court Judge Gilbert Ochoa's order shuts down all suction dredge mining operations following a new state rule in June expanding the type of equipment forbidden under the law.
