Pollution Claims Slashed In Nucor's Suit Against Neighbor

Law360, New York (July 17, 2013, 6:36 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana federal court on Wednesday gutted steel producer Nucor Corp.'s suit accusing neighbor Zen-Noh Grain Corp. of misleading state environmental regulators about the emissions of its grain elevator near the Nucor Steel Louisiana facility.

U.S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance tossed seven of Nucor's nine counts against Zen-Noh, whom it alleged had violated the Clean Air Act by emitting more air pollution than its permits allowed, according to the opinion.
