Philly Mall Loses Bid To Block 'Hate' Demonstrations

Law360, Philadelphia (July 22, 2013, 4:15 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania state judge ruled on Friday that a religious group accused of using hate speech could continue holding demonstrations outside the retail mall at the foot of two iconic Philadelphia skyscrapers.

Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Ellen Ceisler declined to grant a permanent injunction sought by the management of the Shops at Liberty Place, which would have prevented the Israelite School of Universal Practical Knowledge from staging their weekly events at 16th and Chestnut streets in Center City Philadelphia.
