FTC Forces Solera To Shed Assets Over $9M Rival Buy

Law360, New York (July 22, 2013, 5:24 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission said Monday it would force Solera Holdings Inc. to sell an automotive recycling software business it acquired as part of an $8.7 million deal for Actual Systems of America Inc. and two related companies.

The antitrust watchdog said that the May 2012 transaction harmed competition for software used to manage automotive recycling yards, which was already a heavily concentrated market.
