Commerce To Probe Dumping Of Oil Well Tubes

Law360, New York (July 23, 2013, 6:04 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce on Tuesday said it would investigate whether nine countries in Asia, Europe and the Middle East are dumping iron and steel products that are commonly used in the oil and gas industry.

The announcement comes after the U.S. International Trade Commission voted last week to undertake a parallel investigation to determine whether the alleged dumping of foreign steel products is harming American businesses. The commission is scheduled to make its initial determination Aug. 16.
