Obama's NLRB Picks Advance Toward Confirmation

Law360, New York (July 24, 2013, 1:59 PM EDT) -- Members of a U.S. Senate committee on Wednesday approved President Barack Obama's nominations of Kent Hirozawa and Nancy Schiffer to the National Labor Relations Board, setting the stage for a full Senate confirmation vote on the two veteran labor lawyers next week.

The Senate Committee on Health Education Labor and Pensions approved sending both nominations to the full Senate by a 13-9 vote, and Senators on both sides of the aisle said they expected the full senate to vote on the nominations sometime next week after...
