GOP Rep. Targets ACA Data Hub, Citing Privacy Worries

Law360, New York (July 26, 2013, 2:15 PM EDT) -- The federal data hub meant to facilitate the health insurance exchange marketplaces scheduled to open in October faces a potential snag with Friday's introduction of a House bill to delay the hub over data privacy concerns.

Rep. Patrick Meehan, R-Pa., introduced H.R. 2837 to delay the hub, which would gather information to determine whether consumers are eligible for premium subsidies or Medicaid.
