Ex-ConAgra Exec Settles With SEC

Law360, New York (February 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The former president of a ConAgra Foods Inc. subsidiary has agreed to pay the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission more than $350,000 to put to rest allegations of improper accounting practices.

Randy Cook, the former president of United Agri Products’ North American Operations, consented Friday to pay $191,635 in disgorgement, more than $140,000 in pre-judgment interest and a $35,000 penalty. He also agreed to a permanent injunction barring him from violating U.S. securities laws.

Cook neither admitted nor denied the SEC’s allegations.
