NJ Court Won't Revive Judiciary Clerk's Age Bias Suit

Law360, New York (July 29, 2013, 9:49 PM EDT) -- The New Jersey Appellate Division on Monday refused to revive the suit of a clerk in Ocean County Superior Court who claimed that age discrimination prevented her from winning promotions after turning 40.

In an unpublished decision, a two-judge panel agreed with Monmouth County Judge Jamie S. Perri that Linda Trevelise "failed to present evidence from which a reasonable jury could conclude that the decision not to promote her or grant her an interview was a pretext for discrimination based on plaintiff's age."
