Ohio Sens. Push ITC To Find Oil Well Tube Imports Harm US

Law360, New York (July 30, 2013, 1:47 PM EDT) -- Ohio’s U.S. senators on Monday called on the U.S. International Trade Commission to advance cases brought by U.S. steel producers against nine countries’ imports of steel tubing used in oil wells by ruling that the products are threatening domestic industry.

Sens. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, and Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, stressed that the products, known as oil country tubular goods, are critical to Ohio and other states, as they  are essential to the country's ability to develop its energy reserves.
