ITC Staff Not Swayed By Samsung's Attempt To Stay IP Row

Law360, New York (July 30, 2013, 1:13 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission's investigative staff on Monday recommended that the commission deny Samsung's effort to stay a patent infringement case targeting its fourth-generation wireless technology pending the results of a separate probe, saying a stay would not simplify the proceedings.

The ITC's Office of Unfair Import Investigations penned a report saying that while the two cases were both brought by InterDigital Communications LLC and deal with some of the same patents, the fact that Samsung is a respondent in only one of the cases...
