Asarco, Creditors Battle Bid To Appoint Examiner

Law360, New York (February 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bankrupt mining outfit Asarco LLC and a creditors committee are objecting to a bid to appoint an examiner in the case, saying the parent company pushing for the examiner is misusing the bankruptcy process and trying to hijack the reorganization plan.
