Senate Bill Would Undo High Court Ruling On Age Bias Claims

Law360, New York (July 30, 2013, 9:05 PM EDT) -- A bill reintroduced Tuesday in the U.S. Senate would reverse a controversial 2009 Supreme Court ruling that made it harder for workers to prove they'd been victims of age discrimination.

The Protecting Older Workers Against Discrimination Act would undo the high court's ruling in the Gross v. FBL Financial Services Inc. case, in which the majority found that plaintiffs bore the burden of proving age was the deciding factor in adverse employment actions.
