Houston Doc Sues Husch Blackwell For Medicare Negligence

Law360, Dallas (July 31, 2013, 7:17 PM EDT) -- A Houston doctor sued Husch Blackwell LLP and two of its attorneys in state court on Monday, claiming the firm caused him more than $1 million in damages by mishandling a Medicare investigation.

Al Davies claims in the suit that two partners of the former Brown McCarroll LLP who represented him in a Medicare investigation of Southwest Healthcare and Diagnostics Inc. failed to timely and adequately respond to deadlines, exposing him to unspecified monetary losses. Brown McCarroll merged with Husch Blackwell July 1.
