CIT Sends Chinese Wood Flooring Duties Back To Commerce

Law360, New York (July 31, 2013, 6:14 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade on Wednesday ordered the U.S. Department of Commerce to rethink its calculation of anti-dumping duties on Chinese wooden flooring, saying the agency had to better explain itself.

Commerce imposed duties on dozens Chinese exporters of multilayered wood flooring in November 2011, slapping Zhejiang Layo Wood Industry Co., Ltd with 3.98 percent rate. Most other companies were hit with a 3.31 percent duty, while a China-wide rate was set at 58.84 percent.
