9th Circ. Nixes Oil Exploration Plan For Mont. Historic Site

Law360, Los Angeles (July 31, 2013, 10:20 PM EDT) -- The Bureau of Land Management will have to conduct new studies to determine whether it violated the National Historic Preservation Act when it allowed oil and gas exploration on a plot of land set aside in 2001 as a national monument, the Ninth Circuit ruled Wednesday.
