Wash. High Court Says Insurer Liable For Agent's Violations

Law360, Chicago (August 1, 2013, 6:39 PM EDT) -- Washington's highest court on Thursday ruled that Chicago Title Insurance Co. is responsible for regulatory violations made by its agent Land Title Insurance Co., saying a statute capping financial inducements to lure in business places liability on insurers for their own conduct and that of their agents.
