Potato Co. Chairman Sues Twin City Over Antitrust Coverage

Law360, New York (August 2, 2013, 5:12 PM EDT) -- Idahoan Foods LLC Chairman Ron D. Offutt Jr. has sued his insurer Twin City Fire Insurance Co., alleging the company hasn't covered legal costs he's incurred while defending himself in antitrust lawsuits, including two class actions, tying him to alleged price-fixing in the potato industry.

Offutt and Idahoan Food, which sells various types of packaged mashed potato products, are defendants in two class action lawsuits currently pending in Idaho; he is also named in a third complaint brought by Associated Wholesale Grocers Inc. The complaints allege...
