$29B Anglo Irish Loan Book Shopped Around By Liquidators

Law360, New York (August 2, 2013, 3:17 PM EDT) -- The special liquidators of Irish Bank Resolution Corp. Ltd., formerly known as Anglo Irish Bank, announced Friday that they would begin shopping an estimated €22 billion ($29.17 billion) loan book from the defunct bank, including both commercial and residential mortgages.

Special liquidators Kieran Wallace and Eamonn Richardson of the Dublin office for KPMG LLC have started a preliminary market sounding phase where they will assess market interest and pick out potential buyers for four separate groups of loans, according to a statement. They hope to start...
