BNY Mellon Beats Ex-Worker's Gender Bias Claims

Law360, New York (August 5, 2013, 3:58 PM EDT) -- A New York federal jury ruled for Bank of New York Mellon Corp. on Friday in a sex discrimination case brought by a former portfolio officer who said her complaints about being paid less than male colleagues were ignored and she was eventually fired despite doing outstanding work.

The jury rejected equal pay and gender discrimination claims from Rochelle Cohen, who sued BNY Mellon in January 2011.
