Hedge Fund Manager Gets 2 Years For Robbing Investors

Law360, New York (August 5, 2013, 7:48 PM EDT) -- The former manager of Hochfeld Capital Management LLC was sentenced Monday to two years in prison for stealing more than $1 million from investors.

Berton Hochfeld, 67, must also submit to three years' probation following his release, under a sentence imposed by U.S. District Judge Paul A. Crotty in Manhattan federal court. Hochfeld pled guilty in January to securities fraud and wires fraud in connection with his hedge fund management.
