Houston To Pay Firefighters $2M After City Law Ruled Invalid

Law360, Houston (August 6, 2013, 6:30 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court entered an agreed $2.1 million judgment against the city of Houston on Tuesday in favor of several hundred firefighters who said they were cheated out of termination pay, on the heels of a decision by the state’s highest court upholding similar claims.
