Facebook Ends Trademark Tiff Over 'Want' Button

Law360, New York (August 6, 2013, 7:55 PM EDT) -- A Michigan federal judge on Tuesday dismissed a suit alleging Facebook Inc.'s "want" button infringed a trademark of e-commerce company CVG-SAB LLC, after the two parties reached an agreement to end the case.

In tossing the case, Judge Gershwin A. Drain of the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan said both parties agreed to the dismissal and each would pay for its own costs and attorneys’ fees. The order dismissing the case did not specify any details of the agreement.
