Giant Eagle, Grower Settle Mushroom Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (August 7, 2013, 4:50 PM EDT) -- Retail grocer Giant Eagle Inc. settled its antitrust claims against a Texas-based grower in Pennsylvania federal court Tuesday, halting a suit related to ongoing multidistrict litigation over an alleged price-fixing conspiracy in the mushroom industry.

U.S. District Judge Thomas O'Neill dismissed Giant Eagle's claims against Kitchen Pride Mushroom Farms Inc. with prejudice in a brief order.
