Chesapeake In Talks To Drop Some Embattled NY Gas Leases

Law360, New York (August 7, 2013, 2:50 PM EDT) -- A unit of Chesapeake Energy Corp. is in negotiations to possibly release some of the natural gas drilling leases held by New York landowners who have been fighting for the right to renegotiate them at more favorable terms, a source told Law360 on Wednesday.
