Apple's ITC Case Against Motorola Revived By Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (August 7, 2013, 2:33 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Wednesday resurrected an Apple Inc. smartphone patent suit against Motorola Mobility Inc., ruling that the U.S. International Trade Commission erroneously held that Apple's touchscreen patents were invalid and not infringed.

Apple claimed that the Google Inc. unit's smartphones like the Droid and the Backflip infringed two "path-breaking" touchscreen patents that it claimed are integral to the success of the iPhone, but the ITC ruled in favor of Motorola in March 2012.
