Aereo Fights Injunction Bid By ABC's Boston Affiliate

Law360, New York (August 8, 2013, 10:39 PM EDT) -- Aereo Inc. is fighting an injunction bid by Boston’s local ABC affiliate that alleges the streaming TV service infringes its copyrighted programming, arguing the network cannot claim harm from its services.

In a memorandum in opposition filed in Massachusetts federal court Wednesday, Aereo said that, contrary to Hearst Corp.-owned WCVB TV's allegations, consumers are entitled to access over-the-air broadcast television through the company's Internet streaming service in the same way they are entitled to access the signals using an antenna.
