Victims Launch Campaign Against Exxon Valdez

Law360, New York (February 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- As the case over a $2.5 billion punitive damages award for the Exxon Valdez spill heads to the Supreme Court, victims of the environmental disaster have launched a campaign to exert public pressure on Exxon Mobil Corp.

The campaign, called 'The Whole Truth,' is allegedly in support of the more than 32,000 fishermen and Alaska Natives suing Exxon over the “irreparable economic damages done to the communities of Prince William Sound.”

The case is one of the longest in U.S. history.
