Compounder Wins Transfer Of Eye Injury Suits To La.

Law360, New York (August 8, 2013, 2:39 PM EDT) -- A federal judicial panel on Wednesday chose Louisiana as the venue for litigation against the compounding pharmacy Franck's Lab Inc. over contaminated products that allegedly caused blindness and other eye injuries, though it kept an insurance dispute over the suits in Florida.

The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation centralized 21 personal injury lawsuits against Franck's in the Eastern District of Louisiana. The four actions pending there are the most advanced of the suits, the panel said.
