Apple, Others Shouldn't Get Off In Chip IP Suit, Fed. Circ. Told

Law360, Los Angeles (August 8, 2013, 5:01 PM EDT) -- X2Y Attenuators LLC has taken its infringement case against Intel Corp., Apple Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. to the Federal Circuit, contending the U.S. International Trade Commission relied on faulty claims constructions when it found the companies' microprocessors and computers didn't infringe three of its patents.

In an Aug. 5 brief made public Thursday, X2Y said the ITC had erred in construing the terms "electrode" and "perimeter edge" in a manner inconsistent with specifications describing its three asserted patents. The ITC on Feb. 15 issued a decision...
