Ohio Objects To Kodak's Proposed Enviro Deal With NY

Law360, New York (August 9, 2013, 12:13 PM EDT) -- A bankruptcy settlement with New York regulators proposed by Eastman Kodak Co. would illegally protect company leaders from liability for environmental harm, the state of Ohio told a New York bankruptcy court on Thursday.

Kodak on Tuesday proposed a settlement revised to say that the company is liable for the cost of environmental cleanups relating to an $8.5 million industrial complex it is selling, addressing the demands of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation.
