Aegean Pitches Concessions To Sweeten Olympic Deal For EU

Law360, New York (August 9, 2013, 9:10 PM EDT) -- Aegean Airlines SA offered new concessions to the European Commission on Thursday in an attempt to convince the antitrust watchdog to sign off on the company's second bid to acquire competitor Olympic Air SA for roughly $96 million, the commission announced.

Aegean's latest proposal came after the commission, which denied a proposed merger of the competing carriers less than two years ago, criticized Aegean in April for failing to make adequate concessions to appease regulators during an initial investigation into its revived attempt to buy Olympic....
