6th Circ. Revives Age Bias Suit Against Manufacturing Vendor

Law360, Los Angeles (August 9, 2013, 4:09 PM EDT) -- The Sixth Circuit ruled Friday that Aker Plant Services Group Inc. illegally fired a 52-year-old electrical and instrumentation designer due to his age, finding that the company was responsible for a discriminatory decision made by the worker's former supervisor.

The appellate court found that the manufacturing vendor, which claimed it fired Tommy Sharp due to his poor job performance, actually fired him based on the supervisor's alleged bias.
