NJ Salesman Admits Bribing Docs In Lab-Referral Scheme

Law360, New York (August 12, 2013, 3:48 PM EDT) -- A former salesman with Biodiagnostic Laboratory Services LLC pled guilty Monday in New Jersey federal court to conspiring with company executives in a long-running scheme to bribe doctors for business referrals to the medical testing lab, prosecutors said.

Len Rubinstein, who was a BLS salesperson from May 2012 to April 2013, pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Stanley R. Chesler to an information charging him with conspiring to violate the Anti-Kickback Statute and the Travel Act, money laundering and making cash payments of thousands of dollars...
