Recently, for example, the French newspaper Le Monde reported that the revelations may interfere with European-based companies’ use of U.S.-based cloud-service providers.[1] European Union businesses may hesitate to (or be unable to) use the services of U.S.-based cloud-service providers given differing approaches to government surveillance in the different jurisdictions.
