Gilead, Roche Settle Ranexa Patent Suit Against Lupin

Law360, New York (August 13, 2013, 4:52 PM EDT) -- Gilead Sciences Inc. and Roche Palo Alto LLC have abandoned a patent infringement suit trying to block Lupin Ltd. from offering a copycat version of chronic chest pain treatment Ranexa, telling a New Jersey federal judge Friday that they'd resolved their dispute.

U.S. District Judge Esther Salas dismissed Gilead and Roche's claims against Lupin with prejudice, as well as Lupin's counterclaims. But Judge Salas said either party may request for the matter to be reopened within 60 days to resolve any objections that might be raised...
