Just Energy Owes $20M Merger Payment, Power Co. Says

Law360, Houston (August 12, 2013, 9:08 PM EDT) -- An energy management services company said Monday in a suit filed in Texas state court that a unit of Just Energy Group Inc. is unfairly trying to dodge a $20 million payment owed under a $100 million merger deal. 

Fulcrum Power Services LP says Just Energy (U.S.) Corp. shouldn’t be allowed to hide behind its mismanagement of a retail electricity operation it bought from Fulcrum in 2011, which caused it to miss revenue targets that would have triggered the payment.
