Mississippi AG Forced To Retreat In State Farm Spat

Law360, New York (February 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- After a bitter fight, a federal judge has sided with State Farm Insurance Co. in a dispute with Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood over the insurer's handling of Hurricane Katrina claims.

On Thursday, U.S. District Judge David Bramlette tossed State Farm's suit out of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi after ruling that an earlier agreement between the two sides remained valid.
