Judge Appointed To Mediate In Detroit Bankruptcy

Law360, New York (August 13, 2013, 6:32 PM EDT) -- The bankruptcy judge presiding over Detroit's insolvency proceedings on Tuesday appointed a chief federal judge in Michigan to mediate disputes that may arise in the contentious case.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Steven W. Rhodes said in a written order that he has appointed Gerald Rosen, chief judge of the Eastern District of Michigan, to mediate in the unprecedented Chapter 9 case.
