Md. Hospital Settles Medicare Overbilling Claims

Law360, New York (August 13, 2013, 1:49 PM EDT) -- A University of Maryland Medical Systems Corp. hospital agreed to pay $750,000 to settle a former employee's allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by overbilling Medicare for certain cardiac testing studies, Maryland federal prosecutors said Monday.
