Federal Circuit Affirms Kodak's Patent Win

Law360, New York (February 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal appeals court panel has sided with Eastman Kodak Co. in its patent infringement dispute with Ampex Corp., affirming a lower court ruling that dismissed the case.

On Thursday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed a decision to grant Kodak's motion for summary judgment of noninfringement. The per curiam opinion was issued without comment by Judges Haldane Robert Mayer, Timothy B. Dyk and Kimberly A. Moore.

Neither a spokesman for Kodak nor a spokeswoman for Ampex immediately returned calls seeking comment....
