Reliant-Equistar Dispute Moved To Bankruptcy Court

Law360, New York (February 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A lawsuit brought by Equistar Chemicals against Reliant Energy Power over the ownership of a steam process plant in Texas has been moved to bankruptcy court in Delaware to coincide with a Reliant subsidiary's bankruptcy proceedings.

Judge Gregory M. Sleet wrote that transferring the case from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas “was necessary to promote judicial economy and the efficient administration of the debtor’s estate.”
