Court Upholds Terms Of Microsoft Settlement

Law360, New York (February 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The terms of the settlement reached in the massive antitrust case filed against software giant Microsoft Corp. will go unchanged, after a New York state appeals court refused to grant a motion to alter the claims release portion of the deal.

A three judge panel of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York ruled on Friday that the mandatory claims release agreement, which all plaintiffs in the case are required to sign in order to benefit from the settlement, is not overly broad....
