CFPB Guides Lenders On Changes To Mortgage Rules

Law360, New York (August 15, 2013, 5:09 PM EDT) -- The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau released updated guidance Thursday on what its examiners will look for when checking banks' and other mortgage lenders' compliance with new mortgage rules, including how they should implement revisions to the rule from the spring.

Thursday's examination guidelines update a version the CFPB issued in June as part of a broad effort to help banks and mortgage lenders understand the rules before they go into effect in January.
